The opening ceremony to top all ceremonies

Enough has been written over the course of the last four days to capture the worldwide reaction to China's opening ceremony for the Olympics. I was utterly breathless as I watched the 2,008 drummers served as an analog clock counting down to the evening's festivities. Zhang Yimou, director extraordinaire truly understands the Chinese existence in such a deep way. His artistry is unparalleled. I can't help but post these photos so I can have a record for myself of the visual and artistic brilliance in Beijing on 8/8/08.
